Champions Parade at 2023 Atlantic National Super Point ROV Angus Show
Angus enthusiasts led 100 entries at the 2023 Atlantic National Super Point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, May 28 in Timonium, Md. Jon Davis, Bidwell, Ohio, evaluated the 77 females, 21 bulls and two cow-calf pairs before naming champions.
Jeff Fruhling, Homer, Ill., and Austin Nowatzke, Michigan City, Ind., own the grand champion bull. BNWZ Paisley 2143 is the January 2022 son of PVF Insight 0129 and first won junior calf champion.
Conley Ransom 1810 claimed reserve grand champion bull honors. Case Conley, Sulphur, Okla., owns the April 2021 son of Conley No Limit that first won junior champion.
Conley FRKG Queen Meg 1085 claimed supreme champion and grand champion female honors. Houston Ferree, Sullivan, Ind., owns the April 2021daughter of BRDG Mahogany Prime 904B that first won junior champion.
Seldom Rest Sandy 2030 was named reserve grand champion female and early junior calf champion. Jack Dameron, Towanda, Ill., owns the February 2022 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838.
SSF DS Lady 2262 claimed third place overall champion female for Kelly Spicer, Mount Airy, Md. The February 2022 daughter of EXAR Blue Chip 1877B first claimed reserve early junior calf champion.
Samantha Van Vorhis, Bowling Green, Ohio, led the fourth place champion female, SSF Envious Blackbird 5022. The May 2022 daughter of Colburn Primo 5153 first won summer calf champion.
BNWZ Rita 2855 claimed fifth place overall champion female for Rob Oakley, Livingston, Tenn. The March 2022 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 first claimed late junior calf champion.
Madison Stratton, Appomattox, Va., owns the grand champion cow-calf pair. Snyders CCW Proven Queen 214 is the February 2019 daughter of Colburn Primo 5153. A February 2023 heifer calf sired by PVF Blacklist 7077 completes the winning pair.
SCC Phyllis 011 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair for Ethan Whiteside Queenstown, Md. She is the January 2020 daughter of BCII Wrigley 0516. A March 2023 bull calf sired by SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 is at side.
